CELTIC booked their place in the last eight of the Scottish Cup with an impressive 2-0 triumph away to Inverness Caley Thistle. Georgios Samaras fired the Hoops in front in the 33rd minute, capitalising on Ross Tokely’s calamitous defensive error.
 
And Scott Brown sealed a deserved win for Neil Lennon’s men, stretching their run of domestic victories to 15 games, with a second-half penalty after Gary Hooper had shown terrific tenacity to earn the award.


Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Celtic: Team news

NEIL Lennon has made four changes for this afternoon’s Scottish Cup fifth round tie against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

In defence Adam Matthews and Kelvin Wilson return while Kris Commons and Georgios Samaras also come into the starting XI. Daniel Majstorovic makes his first appearance in the squad since recovering from injury and is named on the bench.


Latest injury update

AS revealed by the manager in Friday´s pre-match press conference, new Bhoy, Mikael Lustig, is unavailable for today’s game with Inverness Caley Thistle. The Swedish internationalist will be absent for around 10 days with a hip strain.
 
Earlier this week Neil Lennon was dealt a blow as Mo Bangura joined Beram Kayal as a long-term absentee.
