TONIGHT, much of America will come to a standstill for one of the biggest sporting events of the year: The Super Bowl.
 
American Football’s showpiece final, contested between the winners of the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC), attracted a record 110million domestic television viewers last year as the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.
 
Millions more around the globe tune into live TV coverage of the event, making it second only to the Champions League final in terms of televised club sport.

CELTIC booked their place in the last eight of the Scottish Cup with an impressive 2-0 triumph away to Inverness Caley Thistle. Georgios Samaras fired the Hoops in front in the 33rd minute, capitalising on Ross Tokely’s calamitous defensive error.
 
And Scott Brown sealed a deserved win for Neil Lennon’s men, stretching their run of domestic victories to 15 games, with a second-half penalty after Gary Hooper had shown terrific tenacity to earn the award.

NEIL Lennon has made four changes for this afternoon’s Scottish Cup fifth round tie against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

In defence Adam Matthews and Kelvin Wilson return while Kris Commons and Georgios Samaras also come into the starting XI. Daniel Majstorovic makes his first appearance in the squad since recovering from injury and is named on the bench.

AS revealed by the manager in Friday´s pre-match press conference, new Bhoy, Mikael Lustig, is unavailable for today’s game with Inverness Caley Thistle. The Swedish internationalist will be absent for around 10 days with a hip strain.
 
Earlier this week Neil Lennon was dealt a blow as Mo Bangura joined Beram Kayal as a long-term absentee.
